The world’s highest spiritual traditions speak of a direct path to communion with God and His Attributes. This privileged path of Direct Transmission, however—as the Kaula Tantra reveals—is equally accessible through Art. There is, therefore, a mysterious focal point where the spiritual and the aesthetic converge. In other words, the initiatic transmission (for example, of certain Attributes of God) from the spiritual Guide to a prepared aspirant is perfectly mirrored in the aesthetic transmission of those same Attributes when they are evoked in a magnificent work of art! In both cases, such an outpouring of God’s Grace is bestowed by the same subtle energy—of both spiritual initiation and enlightening aesthetics, which reveals the supreme Self (Ātman): The Energy of the Spiritual Heart’s mysterious Light (Pratibhā Śakti).
In this Retreat, a practical initiation into the mystery of this fundamental energy—encompassing both spiritual initiation and the sublime aesthetic experience that reveals the Self—will be offered for the first time.
